Andra Day and Andi Matichak

Cassandra Monique Batie known professionally as Andra Day is an American R&B and soul musician, actor and songwriter. She's been awarded an Grammy Award and Children's and Family Emmy Award. Golden Globe Award and Academy Award nominations are also among her accolades. Andra Days is a strong performer who writes beautifully. She is not only an expert in throwback R&B Her musical sources are blues and gospel jazz. Her debut album Cheers to the Autumn (2015) was a smash hit in the R&B/hiphop genre that earned her a host of Grammy and Academy Award nominations. Stand Up for Something (2017) was her contribution to Marshall's soundtrack, earned her both awards. Amen and Make Your Troubles Away and The United States Versus Billie Holiday all have singles that are building anticipation for the release of her second album. Andra Day is the daughter of Cassandra Monique Batie and grew in Edmonds Washington. While in San Diego, she attended the School of Creative and Performing Arts as well as performed in church. Her focus changed from the contemporary R&B and pop when she graduated, but eventually was drawn back towards the soul and jazz singers she was a fan of as a child. Kai Millard Morris, who was able to catch a live performance of Day and brought her songs to the husband of Stevie Wonder, was the biggest leap forward. Motown legend Adrian Gurvitz connected Day and the veteran businessman in music. Day joined forces with Gurvitz's Buskin label and Jeffrey Evans' Buskin record company, gained a cult popularity on YouTube, and was signed to Warner Bros. in 2012. Day then released her first single Forever Mine. The song was picked up rapidly on radio by DJs. The album she released her debut Cheers to the Fall (2015) was produced by the Adrian Gurvitz. She signed with Warner Bros. Records. Album included single Rise up that was adopted as an anthem by groups for social justice across the world. Day received two Grammy nominations including Best R&B Album. The United States Versus Billie Holiday was her second studio album that was released in the year 2019 and an album that was conceptually based on Billie Holiday's life. In addition, she was a part of The United States vs. Billie Holiday, a film that tells the story of Holiday. Andi matichak (born on August 25, 1970) is an American actor. She first appeared on television shows such as Orange Is the New Black or Blue Bloods and then made her debut in horror movies Halloween as well as sequels. Andi Mattichak was born on the 3rd of May, 1994 in Framingham Mass.
